Our Activities

In order to extend ‘Learning’ beyond classrooms, some Clubs have been formed.  Students become members of the Clubs as per their aptitude, hobbies and Interests

This Club has been formed in liason with Help Age India and Linkages with Climate and Sanskar India Foundation.  The Club members remain active throughout the year, be it maintaining the Herbal Garden, Vermiculture, Tree Plantation or Anti Fire Cracker Campaign.  All visitors are gifted plants from the nursery that is being maintained.  Organic Manure is being used for all Fruit Trees.

It is a very active Club and its members are in two categories – (1) Vocal, (2) Instrumental.  The School choir performs during the Assembly and all major School Functions.
Music Club students have also recorded the ‘School Song’ which is sung during assembly.  Talent Hunt, which is an annual feature, is organized by Music Club in the month of November.
Adding another feather to their cap, Music club students under the guidance of Music Teacher, have formed their Jazz band and christened it as ‘Rhythm Rookies’.  The band has performed at various Inter –School competitions and fests and has won many prizes.

It has been started in the School in liason with ‘The Army Philatelic Society’.  Brig (Retd) P K Gulati is the President of the Club.  Collection of stamps, arranging them thematically in an album, designing new stamps, visit to the Post Office are some of the activities undertaken.

Interact club is functioning under the Aegis of Rotary Club.  Though the Interact club is in its nascent stage, however due to enthusiasm of Interact members and their active participation, the club is getting popular among the peers.  The aim of the club is to instill leadership qualities and develop understanding towards socio-economic problems of the locality.  Some of the activities of the club are vocational guidance programme, book donation campaign, Blood Donation camp and cleanliness drive etc.  The club members have excelled in Inter School Quiz organized by Rotary Club.

The aim of the club is to enhance the listening and speaking skills of the students and thus help them gain fluency in the English Language.  With this aim in view, a number of activities are organized by the club, like, Inter House Debate Competition, Poetry Recitation Competition, Mock Radio Show, Jingle Composition, story-weaving etc.  These events not only help the students gain language fluency but also go a long way in honing their public speaking skills and boosting their – self – confidence...

Two Vermiculture pits have been prepared by the students in association with Help Age India and Clean Air Island.  Students regularly feed the pit with Organic Kitchen waste.  Delegates and Representatives from ‘Clean Air Island’ come and interact with students and update them on latest techniques of recycling waste.

Every student must have a little time to introspect, a time to look back on the day, reveal the good moments and plan corrections for not so good ones. Hence 10 minutes at the end of each day has been earmarked for reflection and retrospection. Students jot down their thoughts, words or pictures in a specially made `I’ diaries, which they may or may not share with others. These 10 minutes spent with themselves has proved to be a great stress buster for the children.

1.  This course comprises of three modules which are progressive in nature:
        (a) Beginners,  (b) Intermediate and (c) Senior Level.
2.  The classes are conducted for students who are weak in English both written and spoken by the language teachers in the morning (7.30 a.m to 8.10 a.m).
