It is an English Medium, co-educational school affiliated to CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi). The School has classes from I to XII with Science & Commerce Stream.

The School is administered by a Management Committee which is constituted as per the rules laid down by  AWES. The GOC, M&G Area is the Patron of the School and GOC, Mumbai Sub Area is the Chairman.  Headquarters Mumbai Sub Area is the Controlling Formation. Composition of Management Committee is as under:-

The School is located near R.C. Church Colaba, opposite INHS Asvini Hospital and is spread over three acres of land with a well maintained campus. This is probably the only School in South Mumbai where classrooms are situated in the midst of nature. 

The Administrative Block, which is located in a beautiful heritage building, houses the School office, a state of the Art Computer Laboratory, a Sophisticated Audio-Visual Room, an Auditorium, a Library and an Art & Craft Laboratory. TheSchool has threewell-equipped science laboratories which undergo a constant process of upgradation. The School also enjoys the facility of one of the largest sports grounds in Mumbai.

The Student strength is 1050. Some of the steps carried out in the School for the all-round development of the children are as follows :
   Play-way method of learning in the Primary School with emphasis on activities related to text.
   No HW and no formal examinations for classes I and V.
   Classes I to IV have Activity period in the School in which they do the follow-up work.
   No failures in the Primary Section. Care is taken to ensure that minimum level of learning is attained by all children.
   Weekly Friday Tests for the entire School.
   Every class has Computer science, Value Education, Library, Music, Games, Co-curricular Activity periods in their weekly timetable.
   Comprehensive Report Card, as per CBSE format, which gives the overall pen-picture of the student, introduced in the Primary and Secondary Section.
   Comprehensive & Continuous Assessment, as per CBSE Guidelines, is followed for prescribed classes.

The priorities for admission will be as under:
   Children of serving Army personnel (including DSC) children of Army Widows and children of those TA personnel who have minimum of 10 years of embodied service.
   Children of Army Ex- servicemen, DSC per Retd. With pension from DSC.
   Children of serving Air Force and Naval personnel.
   Children of Retired Air Force and Air personnel.
   Children of ex Army personnel who left army with less than 10 years of service and not come under category of ex servicemen.
   Children of civilians paid out of Defence estimates Para Military Forces including Coast Guards, MES, GREF, TA (when not embodied)
   Grand children of serving/ retired Army personnel.
   Civilians.
 

Admission is strictly on merit and the procedure is as follows :
Registration – Parents have to deposit the Registration for, available with the prospectus, duly filled, with required fees, to the School Office and set date for Entrance Test.
1. Students seeking admission from Non Army Public Schools will have to appear for an entrance test. The admission test will be held in the subjects : English, Hindi, Maths for admission to classes II to V and English, Hindi, Maths and Science form VI to X.
2. The syllabus of these tests will be as per the prescribed CBSE syllabus of the class previous to the one in which admission is sought.
3. After a student qualifies in the Entrance Test, the parents will have to deposit the Admission Form , duly Filled, to the School Office.
4. The following documents are then to be submitted to the School office along with the Admission Form:
a. Transfer Certificate from the previous school duly counter signed by District Education Officer.
b. Attested copy of the Progress Report card of the previous class,
c. In case of Defence Personnel – Service certificate of the parents with family particulars.
d. For Class I Applications :
A Xerox copy of the Birth Certificate (The child should have completed 5 years of age on 31 March of the year in which admission is sought).
